BOSTON, May 17, 2024 — CodaMetrix, the leading AI-powered autonomous coding company transforming healthcare, announced Chris Gervais has joined the company’s leadership team as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Gervais brings over 25 years of experience building and scaling innovative and high functioning teams, products and companies to CodaMetrix. In this newly established role, he will oversee an integrated team responsible for advancing the company’s transformational solutions designed to improve revenue cycle management (RCM) and clinically enrich claims data to power research, clinical decision-making, and population health.
“Our focus remains developing autonomous coding solutions to help healthcare providers and health systems streamline their resources, improve overall revenue cycle management, and ensure access to accurate, consistent, and clinically valuable medical codes across the enterprise,” said Hamid Tabatabaie, CodaMetrix’s President and CEO. “Chris’ wealth of experience growing HealthTech teams that build significant platforms, including RCM automation, interoperable data solutions, and electronic patient records to enrich the patient-provider relationship are his unequivocal credentials. His inclusive leadership style will help us advance CodaMetrix’s objectives.”
Prior to joining CodaMetrix, Gervais gained extensive experience in healthcare technology through executive leadership roles at Janus, Kyruus Health, lifeImage, and Partners Healthcare (now Mass General Brigham). Most recently, Gervais served as CTO at Janus where he led the software engineering, data engineering, and data science teams to build the company’s portfolio of RCM automation and process intelligence solutions for large health systems.
“Each year, billions of dollars are spent by health systems on billing and insurance-related costs, a number that is only climbing. The need for solutions that will help organizations streamline these costs has never been greater, and we know we can help the industry do better,” said Gervais. “CodaMetrix is paving the way in how hospitals and health systems can leverage AI to improve medical coding - creating operational efficiencies for reimbursement and beyond. I’m excited to lend my unique experience building and scaling data-driven strategies to help them leverage these important technologies designed to ultimately help patients receive important care while relieving doctors of administrative burden so they have more time with their patients.”
